Characteristics:
Lead Stearate is a white powder, insoluble in water, but soluble in hot ethanol, benzene and turpentine.
When heated in organic solvents, lead stearate dissolves into a jelly after cooling.
When met with strong acid, lead stearate is decomposed into stearic acid and the corresponding salt.
Applications:
Lead stearate can be used as heat stabilizer and lubricant of PVC.
It has good lubricity and photothermal stability.
It has good synergistic effect with cadmium soap, barium soap or organotin compound, and can be used for all kinds of opaque hard and soft PVC products, such as hard tube, hard plate, thin plate, film and artificial leather, especially suitable for wire and cable materials, can give the products excellent electrical properties.
